when he first met you, vox was charmed by your seemingly sweet nature- that is, until you were pissed

your unholy screech of how you were going to rip off your skin if he cut the wifi again was both endearing and confusing in his eyes

vox would just short circuit for a second, just blinking at you while he tries to process what you just said

once it clicks, he just starts giggling. vox very rarely genuinely laughs, most of his laughs are professional or part of the persona he adopts as the leader of vox enterprises, but when he's so shocked by what you just said, he can't control the booming laughter thay fills the room

he's wheezing and gasping, each barking laugh only pissing you off more

"what's so funny? if you keep laughing i am going to fucking break ur fingers like carrot sticks!" you snap, and vox only giggles harder

after a few seconds, you can't help but notice how adorable his laughter is, and soon you don't mind it as much

once you two are officially together, you notice how stressed vox often is, yet how he seems to visibly relax around you

the batshit crazy things you say, which normally disgusts other people, only seem to amuse him

its actually a wonderful dynamic because you bring some spontaneity and slight insanity into vox's otherwise irritating and depressing lifestyle, and vox balances out the crazy things you say and calms you down every time

you often find yourself searching for new phrases to baffle him with, and for new ways to make him laugh

after vox has a stressful day, he enjoys just listening to you ramble about the most insane things and adores hearing whatever fucked up saying you've adopted recently

vox notices himself beginning to copy your speech patterns. he only begins to realize when he slips in an exceptionally odd metaphor into a work meeting and everyone stares at him, yet his heart skips a beat at the thought

there's something so charming to him about the fact that he's adopting your mannerisms, and you truly make him laugh when no one else can

whenever another one of the vees pisses him off, he always comes to you for advice on incredibly deranged comebacks, and you never disappoint!

he's won multiple arguments by just repeating one of your fucked up sayings and the other vees being too lowkey shocked to disagree

vox LOVES IT when you diss people he hates, hearing you ramble some fucked up insults about alastor made him fall in love with you all over again

"that worm on a string fucked up karen cut bob looking ass- if i see him around here again im going to eat a fucking brick" *cue vox looking at you with the biggest heart eyes*

"and THEN, this fucking asshole tried to flirt with me! you look down to see vox half asleep, his eyelids drooping as his light dimmed. "keep talking.." he murmurs, looking up at you with a lazy smile on his face. "you're my favorite person t' listen to.."

i love the idea of vox with a partner who challenges his very idea of power. he clearly wraps himself in a sort of persona, surrounding himself with powerful people and acting like he's so serious and important. i love the idea of him falling in love with someone who can break down his walls in seconds, someone who can dismantle his entire bravado act and who allows him to truly be himself. this is such a wonderful prompt and i am eating this up. nonnie ur awesome!!!!

i can't stop thinking about the fact that vox doesn't seem to ever really leave v tower, like i know he probably does but i like to imagine it's only under the direst of circumstances. maybe this is due to alastor's return and this man's avoidance of a confrontation with him, but i like to pretend he is just a homebody at heart.

I see the ADHD Vox hcs and the Vox and Valentino coked out of their minds in the 70s and 80s hcs and but has anyone written considered.. ADHD Vox and amphetamines hcs yet?

ADHD Vox trying speed once or twice in life during the 50s and being sorely disappointed. He was promised an insane energy high and he just feels.. fine? Pretty focused, actually. Like, he could get a lot of shit done. Which, neat trick. He'll still use it, but this is not what he was pitched.

Vox who drinks coffee not because it's ever been that great at waking him up, but because he likes the taste. Mostly drinks it out of habit, especially in hell. He gets introduced to energy drinks and it's a similar deal. He's really into some of the flavors but is usually pretty unimpressed with the "energy boost" claims. Actually, sometimes caffeinated drinks do the opposite and making him fkn drowsy.

Valentino singing coke's praises in the 70s and Vox saying fuck it, sign me up for a good time. Rinse and repeat his experience with speed in the 50s. Val is having a fucking great time. Meanwhile, Vox took twice as much as Val did and is thoroughly underwhelmed. They might even have a fight over it, Vox accusing Val of giving him "weak" or "faulty" goods.

Vox stays on the coke train in the 70s and 80s, mind you, but he thinks everyone else is way overhyping the effects. Or maybe it just hits him different because he's literally built different (AKA like a TV), fuck it, who knows. Val seems to be having a good time and he's about to be so fucking efficient after this bump–

Decades later, Velvette hearing about this like.. Oh, that makes sense.. because you have ADHD.

They bitch at each other until Vox takes a soft right into elevator pitches about something something people's neurodivergent status something drugs before Val can think long enough about his argument to poke holes in it.

I believe most of Vox’s sins in life stemmed from the fact that no matter how high he climbed or how much he achieved, he was never able feel satisfied with what he had. It was a nasty combination of greed, envy and pride that led him to constantly seek out more.

As a result, I headcanon that Vox’s sinner form has inbuilt ways to punish him that are themed around his chronic inability to be content with what he has.

Vox can eat, needs to eat, but everything tastes the way it does when you have a really bad stuffed nose. He can technically get drunk or high but the amount needed for him to feel anything at all is dangerously close to the amount it’d take to overdose. He needs to sleep but he cannot dream.

It’s the “almosts” that are specifically torturous. In many ways, the ability to indulge in only a ghost of those things is worse than being deprived of them entirely.

Vox cries synthetic tears because if he were to cry real tears he would short circuit and fry, which means he has to spend time repairing himself. He learned this the hard way, unfortunately, and spent ages trying to find a way to replace the parts that have gotten damaged (he was blind for who knows how long and had to rely on radio frequencies, and every other sense). He programmed a setting in him to cry fake tears to feel some sort of emotional release but of course they don't feel the same as real tears. It activates automatically when he's feeling strong emotions and it's his second go-to other than masking everything with anger.

I like to think he's partly organic and that's why he's still capable of crying. I just thought of the random red drool he had in the pilot and i was like "hmm what if he programmed that as a way to mimic saliva" or something. Andd then i remembered he has a tongue in the show? Whoops.

Zestial’s exceptionally charming when he wants something, notably not asking when he presents you with the crisply wrapped gifts. There’s no less than twenty. Boxes upon boxes of accessories and clothes that suit you but hold his color palette, spider and web details to boot. He’s utterly thrilled when you wear them, showering you in compliments and declaring himself the luckiest soul in Hell

Goodness, have you seen how sinners nowadays go about the whole ordeal? What happened to romance!? Call her old fashioned, but Rosie likes a smidge of glamour in her techniques! She’ll accidentally press her painted lips on your cheek and forget, quickly getting swept up into conversation with someone or the other. It’s fine, no one would question her! Not if they wanted to live anyways. Butterflies swarm her stomach when she notices you haven’t wiped her imprint away, a proud smile spreading across her face. It becomes purposeful as the days go on
